Photography is a language.

As with every language it has to say something.

One of the greatest and contemporary Italian photographers (Settimio Benedusi) said:

"...photography make sense if it is useful. It is a way to investigate the world. If photography is used as a medium it is good, otherwise it is a waste of time for photographer and for the viewer."

With smart phones and Social Media everybody takes and uploads pictures.

However, when something becomes overused by the masses quality suffers.

Photography in the generic term now is used badly.

For example take Instagram, the majority of people use the default filters and the result is that all the pictures seem to be exactly the same.

In the era of the selfies everybody looks beautiful and amazing.

We know that life is not like this.

Now it seems the only thing that matters are number of likes, the estetic of the picture, so that's why quality is pushed lower and lower.

The goal here is not acceptance. None of the greats looked for this.

The main characteristic of a picture is not to be beautiful but to tell something.

We tell stories, and YOU are the protagonist of these stories.
